Today we operate to more than 18 destinations from Bahrain, with an average frequency of  112 flights a week. Bahrain Air plays a major role in linking Bahrain, the financial center of the Middle East, to  major cities in the GCC, the Levant, Africa and the Indian Sub-Continent, with fast and economical point-to-point services, for both the business community and the traveling public. We are committed to offering our customers the highest level of comfort, service and reliability at the most affordable prices, throughout the year on our growing network.


Bahrain Air was incorporated on the 2nd of July 2007 as a closed Bahraini Shareholding Company B.S.C (C) and is the first privately owned national carrier of Bahrain. Our historic Inaugural flight took off on 3rd February 2008 from Bahrain to the city of Dubai.
Bahrain Air was structured to fill a market niche for an airline with safe, affordable and flexible services; offering premium and economy class service to the business community and general public.

Managing Director Mr. Ibrahim Abdulla AlHAMER is a visionary and leads the company from the front, flying our aircraft on a regular basis to all our destinations and understanding passenger needs, staff requirements and market dynamics in navigating Bahrain Air into the future.

The Chief Executive Officer Mr. Richard NUTTALL is the key playmaker in our company, with a wealth of expertise from airlines over five continents and understands the different airline business models. Under his leadership come Commercial Affairs, Financial and Administrative Affairs, Flight Operations, Technical Affairs and System Development.

The Director Technical Operations Mr. Moeen Al BASTAKI brings in a wealth of experience and expertise to our technical operation. Mr. Moeen is a Licensed Aircraft Engineer from the Britain Air University of Scotland and has held senior position in the aviation industry for three decades. Mr. Moeen was instrumental in the setup of Bahrain Air from its inception.

The Director Flight Operations Captain Waleed Alshamsi is in charge of flight operations; he joined the aviation industry in 1993 and has a wealth of expertise and experience in flying Boeing B767 aircraft and the Airbus family A330, A319, A320 and A321 aircraft. Captain Waleed was privileged to fly the inaugural flight of Bahrain Air to Dubai on the 3rd of February 2008. He has held management positions in fleet training and flight operations in his outstanding carrier.

The Director Finance and Administration Abdulla ALHAMER, an MSc Finance with honors graduate is responsible for the Finance, Human Resources, IT and Administration at the company. Abdulla has a deep analytical expertise and extensive investment experience in the Banking, Real Estate, Insurance and Infrastructure industries as well as strong leadership and people skills, rigorous project management as well as a great ability to manage in parallel multiple complex issues.

The Director Corporate Planning and Business Development Mr. Raju Pillai, has been in the commercial airline industry for over two decades and has an extensive knowledge of the aviation industry and brings a wealth of expertise and experience to Bahrain Air. Mr. Pillai has been with the carrier since its inception in 2008.
